A preliminary assessment of registration tax and vehicle modifications is a professional estimate based on YUPEX’s experience and knowledge of vehicle registration tax assessments. The estimate is based on the information provided by the customer about the vehicle. YUPEX cannot be held liable for any discrepancies between the estimate and the final registration tax. YUPEX will contact the customer as soon as possible.

Tax calculation involves a final calculation of the registration tax and, upon the customer’s acceptance, the payment of this to the Danish Motor Vehicle Agency (Motorstyrelsen) on behalf of the customer. This requires the vehicle to be in a registration-ready condition and to have passed a customs inspection (toldsyn) in due time beforehand; the customer bears all costs for this unless otherwise agreed. Payment for vehicle registration is agreed upon separately.

When YUPEX handles the tax calculation and payment of the registration tax for a vehicle, YUPEX guarantees the amount of the tax. If a subsequent check by the Motor Vehicle Agency reveals that the paid registration tax was too low, YUPEX will be liable for the additional payment, not the customer. Conversely, the customer will receive a refund if the Tax Authorities determine that the paid registration tax was too high.
